Telecom Technical College Supports Southwest Veteran’s Foundation at Patriots Ball

On Saturday, November 4th, Telecom Technical College had the honor of attending the 3rd Annual Patriots Ball, hosted by the Southwest Veterans Chamber of Commerce and the Southwest Veterans Foundation. The event recognized and celebrated the many contributions of businesses who support veterans throughout the year.

Held at The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch, the event celebrated veterans, patriots and the many businesses who give their time and money to this wonderful organization. Telecom Technical College was proud to be one of the sponsors at the event, hosting a table that included WWII honoree Dr. Vivian Wood. Dr. Wood was celebrated in the Veteran Spotlight, honoring her service as a WWII Marine. She enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1943 and though retired, she continues to promote the Marine Corps at events such as this.

Telecom Technical College has long been a supporter of veterans, working hard to help those seeking an education in the telecom industry find career options through our Telecommunications Tower Technician program and our Qualified Drone Operator Course. Our prison outreach program in particular helps those vets previously incarcerated to go on and live productive lives through a new career in telecommunications.

Our goal to provide compassionate education is based on three principles:  Honesty, Accountability, and Integrity. These principles directly align with the great work that the Southwest Veteran’s Foundation is doing, and we look forward to continuing to support their efforts.
